The timing and severity of the Great Depression varied substantially across countries.
The Depression was particularly long and severe in the United States and Europe; it was milder
in Japan and much of Latin America. Perhaps not surprisingly, the worst depression ever
experienced stemmed from a multitude of causes. Declines in consumer demand, financial
panics, and misguided government policies caused economic output to fall in the United States.

ABSTRACT

This paper describes in detail, field experiments performed on a single-phase, distribution transformer to study the behavior of transformer terminal parameters during internal winding faults. A custom-built transformer provided with external taps was used for these tests. The taps were used to stage various internal winding faults in the transformer. Terminal values of voltages and currents were monitored and the results presented. A comparison of these results with simulation results is also presented

The objective of the study reported here was to find a trade-off between the manufacturing conditions and the thermal endurance of the PZT patches.
