Jaipur Metro (Hindi: जयपुर मेट्रो) is a fast transit system in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Construction on the largely elevated part of the first line, called Phase 1A, which comprises 9.63 kilometers (5.98 kilometers) from Mansarovar to Chandpole Bazaar, began on November 13, 2010 and was completed in 2014. The Commercial execution of the project was delayed until December 2014 and then until April 2015. After receiving the safety authorization from the Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMRS) in May 2015, Jaipur Metro began commercial service between Chandpole and Mansarovar on 3 June 2015.
