ABSTRACT

This paper presents new PMU-based fault detection/location algorithms for double-circuit/three-terminal transmission lines. The development of the algorithms is based on distributed transmission line models and synchronized positive sequence voltage and current phasors.  It describes the results of a very-low-cost & accurate method for determining the motor efficiency without the need for removing the motor & without the need for measuring the output power or torque.
