In the lab is a tower with about 100 layers. At each layer, a driver mounted LEDs. The idea is to send these layers so that an indication can be given the noise level, similar to an equalizer. There are more layers than there are outputs on the microcontroller, so there will have to be made use of a shift register or serial to parallel converter. The sound signal must either be measured through an internal microphone, or through external connection. There should also be some special effects to be programmed, such as 'snow' that falls slowly
