Definitions-
(1) In this Regulation, unless the context otherwise requires,
(A) "The Law" means the Indian Electricity Act of 1910;
(B) "Accessible" means within the physical range without the use of any special apparatus or effort;
C) Ampere means a unit of electric current and it is the unchanged electric current which, when passed through a solution of silver nitrate in water, according to the specification in Annex I, deposits silver at a rate of 0.001118 One gram per second; The aforementioned unit is equivalent to the current which, when passing through the suspended wire coil forming part of the instrument marked "Government of India Ampere Standard Verified" when the suspended coil is in its visual position, exerts a force which is Exactly balanced by the force exerted by gravity in Calcutta on the counterweight of the iridium-platinum weight of said instrument;
(D) "Annex" means an annex to these standards;
(E) "apparatus" means electrical apparatus and includes all machines, accessories, accessories and apparatus in which conductors are used;

3;] (f) "Nude": not covered with insulating materials;
G) "Cable" means an insulated single conductor length (solid or braided or two or more conductors of this type, each provided with its own insulation, which are placed together.
(Gg) "flexible cable" means a cable composed of one or more cores each formed of a group of wires, the diameter and physical properties of the wires and insulating materials being such that they allow flexibility;
H) "Circuit" means an arrangement of conductors or conductors in order to convey energy and form a system or branch of a system;
(I) "Circuit breaker" means a device capable of breaking and breaking the circuit under all conditions and unless otherwise specified, designed to automatically break the current under abnormal conditions;
J) "concentric cable" means a composite cable comprising an inner conductor which is insulated and one or more outer conductors which are insulated from one another and are disposed on the insulation of the inner conductor and more or less about it.
