THINKING MACHINE MEMRISTOR
INTRODUCTION
Memristor is a contraction of “memory resistor,” because that is exactly its function: to remember its history.
A Memristor is a two-terminal device whose resistance depends on the magnitude and polarity of the voltage applied to it and the length of time that voltage has been applied.
WHAT IS IT?
 The world’s smallest memristive switch.

 Information storage device.
 A concentration of memory resistors.
 A passive two-terminal circuit elements that maintains a functional relationship between the time integrals of current and voltage.
HISTORY
Memristor theory was formulated and named by Leon Chua in a 1971 paper.
LEON CHUA'S THEORY
 Leon Chua suspected that a memristor should exist based primarily on symmetry.
