The science of horticulture has been defined as the science and art of cultivating and managing fruits, vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants. The human population is increasing rapidly. So providing sufficient and healthy food is becoming a very important problem in the near future. Increased production efficiency and reduced post-harvest waste with the use of the findings of new scientific research such as biotechnology and nanotechnology in products could be considered the best solution to this problem. Nanotechnology that uses particular characteristics of nanoparticles can be a very useful technology in all branches of science and industry. Today, many uses of nanotechnology in agricultural sciences have been established. In relation to the extension of the useful life of horticultural products, nanotechnology can help us in some reasons, By controlling the growth and development of microorganisms, introducing a new generation of packaging coverage (Films) and controlling the influence of gases and harmful rays (UV), increasing the resistance, quality and beauty of the packaging and using multiple chips (Nanobiosensors) That is considered as fundamental step for the automated control of the warehouses.
