Normally the mobile platform connects the two platforms through which the passenger can walk on the platform to reach on the next platform. The sensors are placed on both sides of the track. If the train arrives at a sensor, the mobile platform will close automatically and allow the train to pass through the tracks and then when the train leaves the second sensor, the mobile platform will automatically open the bridge platforms. The microcontroller will detect the presence of the train by using the infrared sensor. Thus, upon detecting the train in a path controller, pulses will be given to the stepper motor to automatically close the movable platform. The current rail systems in India are not automated which are totally artificial. In railway stations we usually use bridges. It is very difficult for the elderly or handicapped to use the bridge. This document finds a good solution. Mainly the tracking of a train is detected by the sensor, which is used to automatically close / open the mobile platform. The sensors are placed on two sides of the track to detect the movement of the train.
