The design of two vectors of controllable sequential circuits based on conservative logic gates. The proposed sequential circuits based on conservative logic gates surpass the sequential circuits implemented in classic gates in terms of testability. Any sequential circuit based on conservative logic gates can be tested for classical unidirectional faults stuck using only two test vectors. The two test vectors are all 1's, and all 0's. Two vector designs with verifiable latches, master-slave flip-flops and double-edge tripped flip-flops (DET) are presented. The importance of the proposed work lies in the fact that it provides the design of fully verifiable reversible sequential circuits for any fault stuck by only two test vectors, thereby eliminating the need for any type of scanning access to the internal memory cells . The reversible design of the DET flip-flop is proposed for the first time in the literature. We also showed the application of the proposed approach for 100% coverage of single fault / additional cell fault defects in Fredkin's quantum cell automaton (QCA) design. We also present a new conservative logic gate called Conservative QCA (MX-cqca) that is not reversible in nature but has similar properties to the Fredkin door to work as a 2: 1 multiplexer. The proposed MX-cqca door beats Fredkin's door In terms of complexity (the number of majority voters), speed and area.
