In the most highly developed electrical power system, there are several related difficulties from generation to distribution. Generally, power generation is located in the remote area from the load center. Long lines of transmission and distribution have to be built and maintained to meet the required reliability, power quality and economic point of view. A reliable, inexpensive and efficient driver is required to support desirable electrical power systems. Now days go for elegant grid, so distribution generation comes in electric market or system. For such a smart grid, superconducting fault current limiters (SFCL) have an important application in reducing the abnormal current of failure to its possible effect and the appropriate location in the microgrids. Micro-networks may not be connected to a conventional mains supply due to their modes of operation. Security measures are taken for integration with various types of distributed generation and loads. However, the new emerging problems due to these integrations are also highly anticipated by the direct connection of the distribution to the power grid are the excessive increase of the fault current and the island incidence that occurs when, despite a Fault in the mains, In the power supply to the mains failure status. Thus, in the recent electrical system, the fault current reduction investigation has been directed towards the superconducting fault current limiters. This work presents a resistive type SFCL model that is implemented integrating in Simulink-Matlab. The different faults have been simulated in different locations in the intelligent network and the analysis of the fault current is done with SFCL and without SFCL.

Today, there is an increase in the electricity grid to meet the demand for energy with the help not only of smart grid but also of distributed generation. Due to the consumption of electric energy and the increase in the demand of energy leads to increase the levels Of system failure and crosses the rated capacity of existing circuit breakers. In order to increase the installed electrical power, the interconnection of the electric transmission network is made. During interconnection it can lead to very high short-circuit currents. Such fault currents are usually momentary and are caused by equipment failures, electric shocks and various abnormal environmental conditions, etc. The short circuit fault current will increase beyond the classification of protection components in the system. Therefore, to prevent short circuit current a current limiting device is introduced into the system. These devices are known as fault current limiters (FCL). FCLs are composed of superconducting materials because superconducting materials have a highly non-linear behavior that is ideal for application as FCLs. These FCLs have the ability to make the electric power system effective by suppressing fault currents and result in considerable savings in the reversal of high capacity circuit breakers. In this work, a resistive superconducting fault current limiter (RSFCL) was proposed to reduce the fault current and to overcome the inconvenience in the power system by installing or installing the system proposed by SFCL. This results in improved system stability. The Superconductor Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) is one of the newest alternative solutions to avoid the problem of increasing fault current. Improves reliability and stability of the power system by instantaneously reducing the fault current. SFCLs have large impedance in fault conditions and have very low impedance under normal conditions and also instantaneous recovery at zero impedance after fault separation. Superconducting materials have a highly non-linear behavior that is ideal for application as FCLs. The organization of this document is as follows: Section II describes SFCL Technology. Section III describes the development of the SFCL model. Section IV describes the Resistive SFCL.
