power generation using exhaust fan ppt
Abstract: The energy demand of the world has become unbridled in the past years and is augmenting by leaps and bounds. With increase in energy demand, the conventional sources of energy(fossil fuels, nuclear) are encumbered with monumental pressure and hence, the unremitting use of it, leads to dearth of fossil fuels. This has provoked an extensive research into the area of non-conventional energy sources like hydro, wind, thermal energy, etc. Out of these, the wind energy is being discussed in this paper. Wind energy has a lot of potential and advantages but its utilization is restricted due to its irregularity, geographical conditions and its availability. Our primary goal is to suggest an idea that can surmount these
conundrums and utilize the wind energy to its maximum extent. This paper deals with the wind energy that can be derived from the wasted wind energy from industrial exhaust fans. The wind force from an exhaust fan can drive a small windmill and the energy generated from it will be stored in energy storage unit. The power stored in the battery can be transmuted into ac with the help of an inverter and then it can be supplied to the load and hence, this wasted power from exhaust fan can be utilized to meet the growing energy demand.

Yes it is possible to generate power with exhaust gas,at exhaust mount the alternator with change the muffler size, exhaust gases drive to alternator and generate the electricity give to battery.but we need exhaust pressure, need alternator size, battery to storage power......
Plz. Information about the elwctrical power genration from mechanical energy of shaft of exhaust fan
Plz. As soon as possible

India is a developing country and the crisis of an electric power is a common phenomenon. Day by day it has become serious problem due to several factors. We can see how many exhaust fans are being used in the industries. These fans circulate the air from the inside to the outside. From the outside we can consider it as a source of high-speed wind. In this document, we will show a process for using this waste energy source. In this process, the wind from all the extractors will be collected and driven through a single tunnel that will give a huge wind flow to the wind turbine and then the wind turbine will convert it into effective electrical energy.
An idea about the use of non-natural wind resources for electricity is presented. Two vertical axis wind turbines with an enclosure are mounted above a cooling tower to recover some of the energy from the exhaust air. The guide vanes are designed to create a venturi effect and guide the wind before it interacts with the turbine blades. Diffuser plates help to attract more wind and accelerate the flow of exhaust air. Safety concerns that may result from blade failure are minimized by enclosure design. Since the laboratory test and field test results, there is no significant difference in current consumption of the fan motor with the installation of wind turbines. The integration of the enclosure has shown an improvement in the speed of rotation of the turbine, which is 30.4% higher. The electricity generated by this system can be fed to the mains. For 3000 cooling tower units (2 m output diameter fed by a 7.5 kW fan motor and operated for 16 hours / day), it is expected that 13% of the power to power the fan motor will be Recovered from this system, which is equivalent to 17.5 GWh / year.
