You can also obtain a copy of these in the payment of a fee (to be decided by the company), if you want to have them examined by an external auditor. In Maharashtra, a single member application alleging mismanagement of funds is sufficient to initiate an investigation under section 91 of the relevant law. Voting rights: Each unit of a housing society is entitled to one vote in an election. If your spouse, for example, owns another house in the building, you will also get one vote. It's not a family, it's a vote. Even defaulters have the right to vote. Right to Minutes of Meeting: A cooperative may hold two types of meetings for the general body - annual general meeting (AGA) and special meeting of the general body. The third is a meeting of only the members of the management committee. In all three cases the minutes of the meeting are recorded.
