Introduction:
∙∙ The IEEE 30 bus test case represents a part of the American Electric Power System (in the Midwest of the USA) as of December 1961. The printed data was provided by Iraj Dabbagchi of AEP and entered into IEEE Common Data Format by Rich Christie at The University of Washington in August 1993.
∙∙ This test case consists of 15 buses, 2 generators and 3 synchronous capacitors. The base voltages of 11 kV and 1.0 kV are the conjecture, which may not be the actual data. The model actually has these buses at 132 or 33 kV; What is worth mentioning is that the bus test case 30 has no line limits.
