SURVEYING USING TOTAL STATION
[attachment=18106]
WHAT IS SURVEYING
Surveying is a technology that uses instruments to measure the position relationships between points on land and express shapes, areas and other aspects by figures or drawing.
Leveling is the art of determining and representing the relative position of different object in vertical plane
But in broads sense surveying include leveling
OBJECTIVE
The objective of surveying is to prepare a plan or map. The result of surveying when plotted on paper and drawn constitutes a plan. The drawing will be called plan if the scale is small. And will be called map if the scale is large.
WHAT IS TOTAL STATION
A total station is an electronic/optical instrument used in modern surveying. The total station is an electronic theodolite (transit) integrated with an electronic distance meter (EDM) to read slope distances from the instrument to a particular point
WHY TOTAL STATION
Can measure horizontal and vertical angle up to 1”
Temperature & Pressure Sensors
Water & Dust Proof
Electronic target is used so surveying in dim light
Can send all data to computer take data from computer to draw map
PLOTTING
A friendly user interface and powerful analysis tools make total station most suitable instrument in the World.
All the data transferred to the computer .
Using these data all calculation done
Plotting also done
