I am doing project on Automatic attendance system for students using face detection and recognition in java as front end and MySQL as back end for maintaining database. As of now I have completed with storing database and gray scale conversion of stored images. Now I want to detect faces from those images .Next I want to capture the group image using web cam of my laptop and then compare these captured images with stored image and then mark them as present if that student image is detected.Please help us with the code .Please mail me to email-id mallu12v[at]gmail.com.

Face recognition is essential in many applications, including photo-taking, surveillance, access control and personal identification, and forensic and law enforcement applications. In this problem, we have a database of one-sided images for a group of people. Then, given an unknown image of the face, we want to answer the question: "Which person in our database does this image belong to?" Many algorithms and techniques have been proposed to solve such problem. We propose a simple and reliable approach to facial recognition that is extremely effective for real-time applications. The output screen begins with the details of user authentication depends on the valid user or not. If the user is valid, you can upload images to the database first and can take some of the important clips and store them in the database, etc.
