Abstract”
In This paper investigates the impact of a STATCOM operating in a phase imbalanced mode on damping sub synchronous resonance in series capacitive compensated transmission grid. Phase imbalance has the potential of reducing the energy exchange between the electrical and mechanical sides of turbine-generator and, therefore, damps the sub synchronous oscillations resulting from series capacitive compensation.

Abstract
In this seminar We discuss combined ultrasensitive magnetic resonance force microscopy (MRFM) with 3D image reconstruction to achieve magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with resolution <10 nm. The image reconstruction converts measured magnetic force data into a 3D map of nuclear spin density, taking advantage of the unique characteristics of the resonant slice that is projected outward from a nanoscale magnetic tip. The basic principles are demonstrated by imaging the 1H spin density within individual tobacco mosaic virus particles sit ....etc

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging

INTRODUCTION
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance is better known as NMR.Generally used for Imaging of the human body. The device which Images the human body using this principle is called a MRI or Magnetic Resonance Imaging Device.Principles of NMRAccording to the electromagnetic theory, any nucleus such as a hydrogen proton which possesses a magnetic moment attempts to align itself with the magnetic field in which it is placed. This results in w ....etc

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (N Magnetic Resonance Imaging), is primarily a medical imaging technique most commonly used in radiology to visualize the internal structure and function of the body. Magnetic Resonance Imaging provides much greater contrast between the different soft tissues of the body than computed tomography (CT) does, making it especially useful in neurological (brain), musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and oncological (cancer) imaging. Unlike CT, it uses no ionizing radiation, but uses ....etc

Schizophrenia affects one in a hundred Canadians at some point in their life. This disorder is characterized by auditory hallucinations, delusions, lack of motivation and thought disorder. Antipsychotic drugs improve some of these symptoms, but there is no cure and the cause of schizophrenia is still unknown. Current models suggest that a brain lesion in-utero, in conjunction with neurodegeneration, may result in the symptoms of the disease. These processes may result in abnormal brain function, manifested as changes in brain metabolism.

At an interface between two transparent media of different refractive index (glass and water), light coming from the side of higher refractive index is partly reflected and partly refracted. Above a certain critical angle of incidence, no light is refracted across the interface, and total internal reflection is observed. While incident light is totally reflected the electromagnetic field component penetrates a short (tens of nanometers) distance into a medium of a lower refractive index creating an exponentially detenuating evanescent wave. If ....etc

ABSTRACT

Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is a phenomenon occurring at metal surfaces(typically gold and silver) when an incident light beam strikes the surface at a particular angle.Depending on the thickness of a molecular layer at the metal surface, the SPR phenomenon results in a graded reduction in intensity of the reflected light.Biomedical applications take advantage of the exquisite sensitivity of SPR to the refractive index of the medium next to the metal surface, which makes it possible to measure accurately the adsorption of molecul ....etc

MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI) SIMULATION
ON A GRID COMPUTING ARCHITECTURE

Abstract
In this paper, we present the implementation of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) simulator on a GRID computing architecture. The simulation process is based on the resolution of Bloch equation in a 3D space. The computation kernel of the simulator is distributed to the grid nodes using MPICH-G2. The ....etc

subsynchronous resonance in power systems ppt,

RESONANCE
Resonance is defined as the condition in a circuit containing at least one inductor and one capacitor, when the supply voltage and the supply current are in phase. Thus at resonance the equivalent impedance of the circuit is purely resistive. Since the supply voltage and the supply current are in phase, the power factor of a resonant circuit is unity.
TYPES OF RESONANT CIRCUITS
There are two types of resonant circuit – series resonant circuit and parallel resonant circuit.
• SERIES RESONAN ....etc

Abstract-
In 1899, Nikola Tesla, who had devised a type of resonant transformer called the Tesla coil, achieved a major breakthrough in his work by transmitting 100 million volts of electric power wirelessly over a distance of 26 miles to light up a bank of 200 light bulbs and run one electric motor. Tesla claimed to have achieved 95% efficiency, but the technology had to be shelved because the effects of transmitting such high v ....etc
