AUTOMATIC METER READING SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION
This is a device to control the speed of fan and coolers automatically. The device presented here makes the fan run at a full speed for pre determined time. This speed is decreased to medium after some time and to slow then onwards after a period of 8 hours, the fan or cooler is switched off.

The circuit consist of IC1 (555 Timer IC) which is used as an astable multi vibrator used to generate clock pulses. These are fed to decade dividers or counters formed by IC2 an ....etc

Abstract:
RF based Automatic meter reading, or AMR, is the technology of automatically collecting data from energy meter and transferring that data to a central database for billing and/or analyzing. This means that billing can be based on actual consumption rather than on an estimate based on previous consumption, giving customers better control of their use of electric energy. GSM Based Automatic Energy Meter Reading
The purpose of this project is to remote monitoring and control of the Domestic
Energy meter. This system enables the Electricity Department to read the meter readings
regularly without the person visiting each house. This can be achieved by the use of
Microcontroller unit that continuously monitors and records the Energy Meter readings in
its permanent (non-volatile) memory location. This system also makes use of a GSM
