What is Spectroscopy?
 The study of how 'species' (i.e., atoms, molecules, solutions) react to light. Some studies depend on how much light an atom absorbs. The electromagnetic radiation absorbed, emitted or scattered by the molecule is analyzed. Typically, a beam of radiation from a source such as a laser is passed through a sample, and the radiation exiting the sample is measured. Some, like Raman, depend on a molecule's vibrations in reaction to the light.

Schizophrenia affects one in a hundred Canadians at some point in their life. This disorder is characterized by auditory hallucinations, delusions, lack of motivation and thought disorder. Abstract
In this seminar We discuss combined ultrasensitive magnetic resonance force microscopy (MRFM) with 3D image reconstruction to achieve magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with resolution <10 nm. The image reconstruction converts measured magnetic force data into a 3D map of nuclear spin density, taking advantage of the unique characteristics of the resonant slice that is projected outward from a nanoscale magnetic tip.
