I am doing a project in which i have to count the no.of. vehicles passing a signal in a particular lane. Which type of sensors can be used to count the vehicles...? If ir sensors can be used,is it possible to design ir transmitters and receivers in the range of 40 to 50 meters or more....? or Are they readily available in the market...? ....etc

Abstract
One form of cooperative behavior for a group
of AUVs is to fly in formation while performing tasks.
