In this paper; voltage stability is evaluated by both
dynamic PV curves and titne-domain simiilations. considering the
combined a'ynamic contsol effects of a static compensator
(Sl:4TCOA.I) and transfosnier on-load-taps (OLT). The studied
system is heavily loaded at hvo locations and an 80 Mvar
SPITCOM is connected to impsore the voltage stability of entire

Abstract
In this paper, the mathematical model of
STATCOM based on space vector theory is presented. The
voltage equations are transformed into the synchronous rotating
reference frame (dq-axis). The relationship between STATCOM
parameters and stability, transient and steady state
performances are determined. Stability investigation with Routh-
Hurwitz criterion indicates that the STATCOM is a stable
system and the numerical values of resistors, inductors and
capacitors in the STATCOM equivalent circuit have no effect on

I'm doing a project on Power quality improvement in transmission line using D-statcom.

This paper presents the enhancement of voltage sags,
harmonic distortion and low power factor using Distribution
Static Compensator (D-STATCOM) with LCL Passive Filter in
distribution system. The model is based on the Voltage Source
Converter (VSC) principle. The D-STATCOM injects a current
into the system to mitigate the voltage sags.LCL Passive Filter
was then added to D-STATCOM to improve harmonic distortion
and low power factor.

Offshore Wind Farms: Engineering Issues

The paper considers a solution for integration of
large offshore DFIG-based wind farms with a common collection
bus controlled by a STATCOM into the main onshore grid
using line-commutated HVDC connection. A design procedure
