A study was conducted in one of the premier glass manufacturing industries in India during June 2005 to understand the different mechanisms employed in glass industry. M/s. Excel Glasses Limited, Alappuzha, Kerala was selected for the study. Pneumatic systems and different mechanisms employed for making glass bottles and jars by the above unit are discussed. xperimental results on ?ber micro-buckling of continuous glass-?ber reinforced hollow-cored recycled plastic extrusions under creep tests are introduced. The full size specimens with dimensions in 2:5 Â 3:5 Â 42 in:3 were submerged in warm water at a temperature of 125 °F when they were under a four-point bending creep test. Thermal shock on interfacial adhesion of thermally conditioned Glass fiber/epoxy


The fiber/matrix adhesion is most likely to control the overall mechanical behavior of fiber-reinforced composites. An interfacial reaction may result in various morphological modifications to polymer matrix microstructure in proximity to the fiber surface. The interactions between fiber and polymer matrix during thermal conditioning and thermal shock are important phenomena.

Over the last decade, particle tracking microrheology has matured as a new tool for complex fluids research. The main advantages of microrheology over traditional macroscopic rheometry are: the required sample size is extremely small (~ 1 mL); local viscoelastic properties in a sample can be probed with high spatial resolution (~1-10 mm); and the sample is not disturbed by moving rheometer parts. Abstract
The possibility of using finely ground waste glass as partial cement replacement in concrete was examined through three sets of tests: the lime-glass tests to assess the pozzolanic activity of ground glass, the compressive strength tests of concrete having 30% cement re-placed by ground glass to monitor the strength development, and the mortar bar tests to study the potential expansion.
