On the macro scale, feedback control is routinely applied to improve performance and enable new tasks in complex and uncertain systems operating in noisy environments. Our lab has focused on applying feedback control ideas to systems on the micro scale. Here we show how control methods can improve existing performance in the UCLA lab-on-a-chip electrowetting system and can create entirely new capabilities in our 'micro fluidic tweezers' cell steering devices. In the Electro-Wetting-On-Dielectric (EWOD) system developed at UCLA by CJ Kim, a grid ....etc

Title: Modeling of Wind generator control systems using Simulink interfaced to PSSE Page Link: Modeling of Wind generator control systems using Simulink interfaced to PSSE - Posted By: ajukrishnan Created at: Thursday 10th of December 2009 09:59:54 PM | pss heffron phillips simulation matlab simulink code, wind generator assembly, mppt simulink wind turbine, using matlab simulink for simulations of wind and battery, microcontroller based ic tester digital serially interfaced with pc, control systems, in this system the gsm module is interfaced with microcontroller unit,
A practical method of modeling wind generator control systems for network simulation using Matlab-Simulink is presented. The interface developed between PSS/E and Matlab-Simulink allows the models generated to be used directly in PSS/E dynamic simulation. Fundamentally, modeling involves understanding the dynamics of equipments to be modeled and deriving the differential and algebraic equations which are coded using a high level computing language. For network elements resilient to change, the latter remains the method.

In Part 1, the instructor introduces control systems in a PowerPoint presentation. Then students begin building robots and writing a simple computer program that will run the robot in a straight line. Next students test their robots. In Part 2, the instructor presents the second part of the PowerPoint and students use closed loop controls to run the robot on straight and curved lines. In Part 3, the instructor discusses control systemsâ„¢ involvement in nanomanufacturing. ....etc
