High-voltage circuit breaker play an important role in transmission and distribution systems. They must clear faults and isolate faulted sections rapidly and reliably. In-short they must possess the following qualities.

In closed position they are good conductors.
In open position they are excellent insulators.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:
In a circuit breaker there will be some reference value for which it has to be tripped. But in this ADJUSTABLE CIRCUIT BREAKER we can change the reference value in certain limit this limit depends on the interest of manufacturer.
That is in this project we are developing a circuit breaker in which the tripping current can be varied here in this project it is fixed between 0.1 A to 1 A.

As an example, some new circuit breakers have embedded monitoring instruments available to measure the coil current profiles and the operation timing . The recorded information can be used to monitor the condition of breakers during each operation.
