Abstract
IEEE 802.16 standard and WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability of Microwave Access) will standardize and promote wireless broadband as a wireless alternative to digital subscriber line (DSL) and cable that can help remove barriers to broadband access by providing last mile connectivity.
