Abstract :

Bluetooth is a way of connecting machines to each other without cables or any other physical medium. It uses radio waves to transfer information, so it is very easily affected by attacks. In this let me first give some background information about Bluetooth system and security issues in ad hoc networks, a security framework is introduced for the description of the Bluetooth security layout.

The device discovery in bluetooth networks is implemented by master running the Inquiry protocol and slaves running the Inquiry Scan protocol. Page and Page Scan protocols are used by the master and slave respectively for establishing a connection between the master and the slave. Upper level data can be exchanged between the two devices after the connection has been established. there is a random delay in the process of discovering a device.
