ABSTRACT
Fresh charge loss during the scavenging process of a two stroke S.I engine is known to be the principal reason for its high specific fuel consumption and high hydrocarbon emission. In order to minimize the fresh charge loss to the exhaust a new scavenging system had been developed. To achieve better performance from this scavenging system, control of air flow through reed valve is necessary, since it will affect the mixture quality of the trapped charge. 1.ABSTRACT
This proposal relates to conceptual design of “Valved Two Stroke Engine with Extended Expansion” . This is an hybrid of two stroke and four stroke engine.
We know that in a two stroke engine - the four strokes viz. suction, compression, power and exhaust will be completed in each rotation of crank shaft and power is produced for each rotation. Whereas in a four stroke engine the above four strokes are completed in every two rotation and power is produced once in a two rotation. Hence for same siz..............etc

Although current systems relay almost exclusively on mixture formation outside the combustion chamber, concept based on internal mixture formation. With the fuel being injected directly into the combustion chamber were actually the foundation for first gasoline injection system. As there system are superb instruments for achieving further reductions in fuel consumption. There are now becoming an increasingly significant factor.

IN FOUR STROKE PETROL ENGINE THERE ARE 4 STROKES GIVEN BELOW:
1) SUCTION STROKE
2) COMPRESSION STROKE
3)EXPANSION STROKE
4)EXHAUST STROKE
IN THE SUCTION STROKE ,PISTON IS ABOUT TO MOVE TOP DEAD CENTER TO A BOTTOM DEAD CENTER.
IN THE COMPRESSION STROKE,PISTON IS AT BOTTOM DEAD CENTER AND MOTION FORCED IT TOWARDS TJE TOP DEAD CENTER.
DURING THE EXPANSION STROKE POWER IS DEVELOPED, THEREFORE IT IS CALLED AS PWER STROKE.
LASTLY IN EXHAUST STROKE PISTON IS MOVES TOWARDS BDC TO TDC...............etc

Introduction
A two stroke engine is one which completes its cycle of operation in one revolution of the crankshaft or in two strokes of the piston. In this engine the function of the intake and exhaust processes of the four stroke engine are taken care by the incoming fresh charge which is compressed either in the crank case or by means of a separate blower while the engine piston is near the bottom dead centre. The engine piston needs only to compress the fresh charge and expand the product of combustion.
