In previous days, planers and shapers were popularly used but have become obsolete now. The milling machines have replaced them like the best machine tools since the speed of elimination of the metal is of quantitative nature. This project "Planing milling machine with drill head" explains milling machines. These machines are of two types: double housing and open side.
In the double housing, the vertical supports are present on both sides of the long bed, while in the open-side arrangement, the vertical supports are only on one side, which allows the work piece to extend further. The use of mail machines increases the production rate. Since the flatbed and drilling machine is built into a unit, energy is saved and there is no transfer of tones between the machines.
