Push button gear shifter
It Enables gearshifts to be carried out by pressing a button. The Neutral gear can be selected easily by momentarily pressing either the up or down buttons. In this system, the shifter action and its operating characteristics are designed to be similar to the human leg shifting system which ultimately results in perfect gearshift simulation. The button gear shift system is electro-mechanical and there is no hydraulic oppneumatic parts. a linear actuator design is used which uses a dc motor which can revolve upto 25000rpm.
electronic foot
It is powered by the bike's electrical system and there is no need for bulky air powered systems. It is dual acting for both up & down shifts, and is very fast and consistent.
Easy Gear Shifting System
The final year students of mechanical engineering from Kongu Engineering College have used two solenoids (electromagnets) to activate the gear lever. When th euser presses the button, the power from a vehicleâ„¢s battery activates either of the solenoids, which shift the gear.
