Project is based on the vanet created using zigbee. Vehicles mostly drive at high beam during night time which is uncomfortable for the car coming from opposite lane to pass away. Therefore we have introduced a device in which rather than switching the headlight to low beam, it automatically turns to low beam. The working is as follows.
Two circuits are made. Every circuit consists of a zigbee, an 89c51 atmega microcontroller, Max 232 IC, relay circuit and timmer ic's for connection to the headlight, RS 232 serial port. The zigbee creates a vehicular adhoc network which interacts with the car coming from the opposite lane. The zigbee network will interact with the other zigbee network coming from the opposite lane. For interaction through opposite lane, we are using angle sensor so that it will interact with the vehicle coming from opposite lane rather than interacting in the same lane. Now if the light is in high beam, microcontroller will give command to the switching circuit to lower the beam. If the headlight is already in low beam, then there will be no command given by the microcontroller. The distanceof the zigbee network will be 50 metres.
