There are two modes of admission to the doctoral programme
Through The Entrance
Direct Admission without ENTRA
(A) the candidate ADMISSION through entrance examinations
1. introductory tests will be compulsory for students who are otherwise eligible for admission to the Ph.d. Program and do not have any financial assistance would be admitted through the entrance examination to be held in the respective departments and/or through the Departmental Research Committee to interview. Students temporarily admitted to a Ph.d. Program through entrance examinations or interviews will be awarded scholarships to University Grants Commission for doctoral programmes or any other communication that runs through national agencies. under this category the number of scholarships will be determined annually by the Department. Such candidates may apply for a Ph.d. Program only once a year at the beginning of the school year.
2. the candidate for PM Phil degree other than University of Delhi will appear in the opening tests of fresh candidate directly linking the applicant nevertheless credits and exemptions may be granted for a term paper, done in previous University
(B) the candidate's (DIRECT admission without entrance examinations)
The placement test will be released for the following candidates are eligible for direct admission:
Students with Fellowships/Scholarships established University/national and international agencies on schemes approved/recognized University, through the procedure set out in the University and may be registered in the preliminary departmental Research Committee and the Board of research studies, presenting, and confirmed upon completion of the coursework, the Research Council.
Foreign students with national or other recognized University scholarship or sponsorship on the part of their employers, can be granted temporary admission and then confirm via the due process after a specified period of time.
Universities/colleges with a permanent, temporary or ad-Up position and completing two years of service as a teacher in the Department/Founding colleges of the University of Delhi.
Candidates sponsored by their employers is considered only when they receive the training leave for a period of two years to meet the requirements of the permit of the University of Delhi.
Permanent teachers/staff members in service in any other recognized University/College/Institute for scientific research in India and have at least three years of teaching/research experience will be considered if they receive a study leave for two years to meet the requirements of the permit from the University of Delhi.
Candidate for m. Phil degree in accordance with the letter from the UGC (f. 1-N 1/2002 (PS) file Pt-III) from the University of Delhi and No.CB.II August 28, 2009/engaging/2009/2269 of November 25, 2009, candidate of the m.Phil. Degree from the University of Delhi, where the reception was held in the entrance examination and coursework was completed at the m. Phil, such candidates are not required to hold entrance exams or courseworkWhen admitted to a Ph.d. Program. If the candidate has made m. Phil from the University of Delhi, in addition to the credit and exemption can be granted for a term paper, done in previous University. However, such a candidate would have to appear in the opening tests of fresh candidate directly connecting the candidate
Therefore, students with fellowships/scholarships to foreign students of the University/College teachers who have at least 2 years experience at the University of Delhi, the candidates with the support of their employers, teachers/staff members with at least 3 years experience in a recognized College/University/research institution and a candidate for m. Phil. Degree from the University of Delhi, should not appear in entrance examinations and to provide a brief overview with the form as above specified dates.
