Bardoli Satyagraha (1928)
*The satyagraha started by the peasants of Gujarat under the leadership of Vallabhai Patel
Ans : Bardoli Satyagraha.
*The reason for the satyagraha was to reduce the increased land revenue in Bardoli.
*Due to the stiff protest British returned confiscated land back to farmers.
*Following the Success of the. satyagraha Vallabhai Patel was given the title “Sardar” by Gandhiji.
Chittagong armoury Raid-1930
*On April 18, 1930, there was an attempt to raid the Chittagong armoury in Bengal under the leadership of Surya Sen.
*They had planned to occupy two main armouries in Chittagong to sieze and supply arms to the revolutionaries.
*The raid was successful, Surya sen hoisted the national flag and proclaimed a provisional revolutionary government.
*Surya Sen was arrested in 1933 and hanged,on January 12, 1934.
*Surya Sen is popularly known as Masder da “Mahanayak Surya Sen” is the biography written by Kalpana Dutta.
Civil Disobedience Movement-1930
*Civil Disobedience movement was another important movement which began as a protest against the simon commission.
*Civil Disobedience was a form of noncooperation to pressure the government to accept the demands of Indian People.
