touch screen home automation friendly arm

hello sir,
i want to make a project for home automation using android application but i also wanted to develop a security apllication alongwith touchscreen gui application...so is the friendlyARM a gud option?or should i go ith arduino or rasperrypi...also if i go with friendlyARM..then what basic concepts should i b clear with???please reply as soon as possible...
