Wirelesss Data Encryptiion and Decryption using RF Communication

(Abstract)
In Todayâ„¢s Electronic communication take important role. Using todayâ„¢s Communication technology the data transmission and reception from one Place to another is easy and fast. But security is of some concern, for that we send the data by Encrypting. By the system named as Advanced Data Encryption using Microcontroller
.
In our project we have two sections, one is transmitter another one
Receiver, in transmitting section we have AT89C51 Microcontroller, Key pad and
an LCD. In receiver section we have another AT89C51Microcontroller and LCD
At the time when data will transfer from the transmitter a predefined code will be
Added with every eight bit data and when this data receive by the receiver this code
Will be decode by the receiver and generate the exact data that will be displayed
On LCD.
In this project Wireless Encoding and decoding are using one of the techniques
Called cipher text technique. Encryption is any procedure to convert plaintext into
Cipher text. Decryption is any procedure to convert cipher text into plaintext.

Hardware components:

¢ AT 89C51 Micro controllers, LCD, KEYPAD
Software tools:
¢ Kiel vision.
Advantages:
¢ The data secure is more while transferring data
¢ Used in data communication.
Applications:
¢ This system can be used for Military application for security.

¢ It can be used in Air craft applications.

Encrypting communications between wireless mobile units
A wireless mobile unit includes a voice encoder circuit that receives an analog voice signal and creates digital voice data representing a user's voice.an encryption key entered by the user on the keypad or through a voice recognition circuit is received by the mobile unit and is stored in a storage device. the digital voice data is encrypted by an encryption circuit using the encryption key. A transmitter then modulates the encrypted voice data onto an RF signal and transmits the RF signal to a base station in a wireless network.the same encryption key is used by the base station to decrypt the signal before transmitting it to another base station or mobile unit.Signals transmitted from the base station to the mobile unit are encrypted and decrypted using a user-selected encryption key in a similar manner.

A design of effective security for data communication through a standard algorithm for encryption and decryption design is described here. The source information is generated by a key pad which is then encrypted and then sent to destination through RF communication. The receiving
system decrypts the data according to a specific algorithm and
displays on the LCD.
STT-433 MHz Transmitter, STR-433 MHz
Receiver along with HT640 RF Encoder and HT648 RF Decoder is used in this project. RF Transmitter is
connected to the different sensors through RF Encoder. 8-bit data is converted into a single bit and transmitted serially. the receiver receives this analog value on a single data line and passes this data
to the decoder which does the serial to parallel conversion. 7805 three terminal
voltage regulator supplies 5V. The block diagrams are given in this pdf:

This Project describes a design of effective security for data communication by designing standard algorithm for encryption and decryption. The source information is generated by a key pad and this will be encrypted and is sent to destination through RF communication. The receiving system will check the data and decrypt according to a specific algorithm and displays on the LCD. The RF modules used here are STT-433 MHz Transmitter, STR-433 MHz Receiver, HT640 RF Encoder and HT648 RF Decoder. RF Transmitter is connected to the different sensors through RF Encoder. This encoder converts the 8-bit data into a single bit and sends it to the transmitter which will be transmitting. The data which is in the air is an analog value. At the receiving end, the receiver receives this analog value on a single data line and passes this data to the decoder. The decoder does the opposite functioning of the encoder i.e., it converts the single bit data into eight bit data and gives it to the microcontroller which does the further processing. This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac out put of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer

WIRELESS DATA ENCRYPTION AND DECRYPTION USING RF COMMUNICATION
ABSTRACT


The ranges of electromagnetic frequencies are above the audio range and below visible light. All broadcast transmission, from AM radio to satellites, falls into this range. Radio Frequency (RF) itself has become synonymous with wireless and high-frequency signals, describing anything from AM radio from 535 kHz to 1605 kHz to computer LANs at 2.4 GHz. However, Radio Frequency has traditionally defined frequencies from a few kHz to ~ 1 GHz with Microwave being the consideration.

The RF transmitter module for this project is TLP434A (433.92MHz). This is an Ultra Small Wireless Transmitter ideal for remote control projects or data transfers. This compact unit operates between only 2V to 12V. We are using 5V and a range of up to 200m is possible with an antenna fitted with 12V battery. This module can work directly with HT12D or similar decoder. Here we are using microcontroller as a decoder.

In this project we are generating the data to be transmitted using Microcontroller. The data that is generated by the microcontroller is displayed on the LCD at the transmitter side and transmitted through RF transmitter (TLP434A). The RF transmitter will generate a carrier signal with a frequency of 433 MHz to transmit and the resulted signal is transmitted through antenna. The data that was transmitted by the antenna at the transmitter side is received by the antenna at the receiver side, and the resulted data is given to the RF receiver (RLP434A) which is a Compact Radio Receiver (RF) works directly with the TLP434A transmitter on an operating frequency of 433.92MHz. The resulted data from the RF receiver is received by the microcontroller serially. The data is decoded and displayed on the LCD at the receiver side.
