The Virtual Classroom project is a collection of free, on-line educational activities and resources. It aims to complement the efforts of governments and education departments around the world to integrate technology into their classrooms and curricula and to page link their schools to the information superhighway.
The Virtual class Room vision is to empower, enable and connect students around the world using Internet technology.
Scope:
Virtual class room is based on java. It is being made in response to a growing demand for eLearning softwares.This Can be used as a stand-alone model for education in a school or can be used to supplement the existing system of a school.Eitherways, it will be accessible to all students of anins titutI on and they can use it to view tutorials or submit assignments/tests.
Objectives:
Developing a virtual classroom system to promote a greater count of studentsto splurge into the field of Education. It integrates the benefits of a physicalclassroom with the convenience of a ‘no-physical-bar’ virtual learning environment,minus the commuting hazards and expenses. It will usher in the immense flexibilityand sophistication in the existing learning platform structures, with the perfect blendof synchronous and asynchronous interaction. It provides a means of collaborativelearning for the students.

Virtual classroom aims to replaces the role of school and teachers by providing students a virtual environment which makes it easy for them to study.This is not only provides student convenience to study at any time hey wish but also facilitates distance learning. virtual classroom can be visualized as a classroom where a lecture or session is conducted using Internet. Now, that we have some idea about virtual classroom, we will discuss some advantages that virtual classroom offers over traditional classroom. When we go to college we have a schedule of lectures, which we must attend. Student must arrive on time, and when he enters the classroom, he finds a teacher, fellow learners, a blackboard or whiteboard, LCD projector, optionally a television screen with videos. Likewise, a Virtual Classroom is a scheduled, online, teacher-led training session where teachers and learners interact together using computers linked to a network such as the Internet.

• JavaScript: A client side scripting language used to create dynamic web content and user interface.
