Minute-by-minute updates on vehicle location by sending sms via GSM modem. This SMS contains the length and latitude of the vehicle's location. The microcontroller is the central CPU processing unit of our project. The microcontroller obtains the coordinates of the GPS modem and then sends this information to the user in text SMS. The GSM modem is used to send this information via SMS. SMS will be sent to the owner of the vehicle.
GPS-based vehicle tracking system is required in many situations, such as in case of auto theft detection. Car tracking using the GPS project will be helpful when our car is stolen. Also if someone wants to keep track of their children's school bus, then it will be helpful to find out the location of the children. One more situation is when some company wants to track the location of the cab or bus transport of employees, then in this case this vehicle tracking system will be very useful.
In the GPS tracking system the vehicle's location is sent to a remote location and is done by GSM modem. The Global Positioning System (GPS) modem requires a minimum of 3 satellites to calculate the exact location. This modem communicates in a single way with the microcontroller 8051. This means that it can only transmit data to the microcontroller. The GPS modem does not receive any data from the microcontroller. At the same time, the GPS modem does not send data to the satellite, it only receives the signal from the satellites.
