ABSTRACT


For many years transformer protection has been considered essential to safeguard transformers and their cables from damage caused by the overheating. Overloading and single phasing can result in overheating and most protection relays detect these conditions. The last version of transformer protection is that of Numerical Relay. Here only single relay is required to operate more parameters. It is also has the advantage of advanced communication and interfacial technology.
