The facility, based in Whitefield, Bangalore, manufactures X-ray tubes for RAD & F and CT systems, as well as components such as high voltage tanks and detector modules for CT systems. The products are exported all over the world and meet the safety and regulatory standards specified by FDA, CE, MHW, AERB and the facility has been accredited with ISO-9001; ISO-13485 and ISO-14001 certifications. GE-BEL also markets conventional X-ray tubes manufactured at BEL's Pune unit. GE-BEL's turnover during 2004-2005 was over ₹ 4.50 billion (US $ 97 million), including an export of more than ₹ 430 billion (US $ 92 million). The company has been recognized for its exceptional export performance since 1998 by the Export Promotion Councils.
