The hospital has several specialized departments such as Cardiology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, ENT etc. OPD is another independent department. A physician is only associated with a specialized department at a time, although he may be a member of the OPD (Department of External Patients) department. Each doctor has one hour and one day of visit in a week.
At the reception, the patient's data are entered and the fees are also taken and the patient is tracked on the basis of the generated ID.
In the routine a patient can visit the doctors, either directly selecting a doctor or by being admitted to the hospital and then a doctor visits the patients.
A physician may prescribe tests for the patient to perform. The patient visits the laboratory for the tests prescribed by his doctor. The reports are delivered to the patient. Payments for the tests are made at the reception. Referring to reports, the doctor prescribes the patient's medications or more tests or is asked to admit it.
A patient is admitted to a specialized department room (if available) according to the prescription. The number of rooms is limited and if there is no vacant room the admission of the patient is reprogrammed.
According to the doctor's prescription the patient is operated on a specified date and time as decided by the doctor who is doing the operation.
After the completion of treatment a patient can be discharged on a doctor's advice and on the full payment of all charges due at the reception. In payment of the full fees the reception generates a discharge ticket for the patient.
