SOIL stabilization of WASTE synthetic fibres
SUMMARY
Stabilization of soil can be done in different ways. But stabilization using waste plastic fibres is an economic stabilizer method as used here, the plastic waste that is easily accessible. This report presents different tests carried out on reinforced soil with different content of fibres and their results are analyzed such weather can be used in the field.
A review of the literature to discuss the tests, as CBR test test, shear strength, consolidation test, test of swelling, desiccation cracks, shrinkage limit and hydraulic conductivity with different soil samples and their results are compared with the nearmirovannom of the soil. The test results show that a modest increase in the content of the CBR CBR fibers values can be increased, and thus improve the properties of soft clay. Randomly distributed polymeric fibers in soil can lead to an increase in the cross-sectional parameters and payload effectively improves. Swelling occurs at low levels and in the case of reinforced soil desiccation cracks were narrow and crack than deep wide cracks in the case of non-reinforced soil. This method increased the hydraulic conductivity and shrinkage limit.
Model of analysis done on polypropylene, reinforced soil slope soil reaction gave to boot, and this indicates that the reinforced soil can sustain longer than non-reinforced soil slopes. A safety factor of almost 1.5 times higher than non-reinforced one.
