The conventional street light system is wasteful of energy and to control this system, man's energy is needed to turn the lights on / off all the time. Implementation of this project will reduce energy consumption. Basically this project will control the lights using cell phones that use GSM technology. The user will send the message by his telephone in the GSM modem in a predefined way. The GSM modem on the other side is interconnected by the microcontroller. The controller section will change the device controls after receiving the message. The lights to control will be connected to the microcontroller section. When the lights are controlled, the confirmation message is sent to the user's phone via the GSM modem. If any of the lights do not light, then the fault will be detected. The message will send to the phone of the user about the failure of the control of the light. For this project, the entire system will be controlled wirelessly.
The GSM-based street light monitoring and control system is an automated system designed to increase the efficiency and accuracy of an industry by temporarily controlling automatic street light switching. The GSM-based street light monitoring and control system consists of a 89C51 microcontroller which in the setting of the time returns turns on / off the street lights and sends the update via a telephone to the telephone number specified. This is a smart way to manage public lighting systems. There are basically two modules that include the client side and the server side. The client side consists of the GSM modem which is also connected to the microcontroller. The server side consists of the web server based on JAVA; It has a central engine that interacts with the user, the database and the GSM communication manager. A new economical solution for street light control systems. The control system consists of a GSM modem, control circuits and electrical devices. This also includes the client server mechanism where the user can interact directly with the web-based application to control the street light from anywhere from a single position. The base server will run a Java web application that will maintain full recoding of the city of the city / state / country. When we want to turn on / off any particular street light, the server will send a GSM SMS to that street controller to take the necessary action. The street light controller will receive this SMS and decode it and find the particular street light that needs to be ON / OFF using the relay circuit.
