New Policies
*Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Housing for All (Urban)
*Prime Minister : Narendra Modi
*Launched on : 25th June 2015
*During : 12th Five Year Plan
*Fund sharing : 75 :25 (Center & State)
*North Eastern states : 90 :10
*Organised by - Ministry-of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation.
*Low income groups and economically weaker sections are the beneficiaries.
*Duration of Scheme - 2015-2022
*A beneficiary family Will comprise husband, wife, unmarried sons- or unmarried daughters.
*The beneficiary family should not own a pukka house either in his or her name or in the name of any member of his or- her family in any part of India.
*Conditions : Houses constructed under the mission should be allotted in the name of the female head of the households or in the joint name of the male head of the household and his wife. When there is no adult female members in the family, the house can be in the name of male member of the household.
Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana - Grameen (PMAY-G)
*Prime Minister : Narendra Modi
*Launched on : 20th November 2016
*During : 12th Five Year plan
*Fund Sharing (centre and state): 60 : 40 (In hilly areas and north eastern states) : 90: 10
*Aim: To Provide affordable house with basic amenities to all houseless and households living dilapidated house by 2022.
*PMAY -G is the re-structured scheme of Indira Awas Yojana with effect from 1st April 2016.
*PMAY - G implemented in rural areas acros the country except Delhi and Chandigarh.
*Conditions: Allotment of house shall be made jointly in the name of husband and wife except in the case of a widow/ unmarried/separated person.
*The mobile application launched for PMAY-G AWAAS app.
