Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls - SABLA

*The scheme would cover adolescent girls in the age group of 11-18 years byimprovement in their nutritional and health status.
*Objectives : To provide nutritional food, health check up and referral services, counselling and guidance on family welfare to the adolescent girls

*Prime Minister : Dr. Manmohan Singh
*Launched in : 2014
*During : 12th Five Year plan
*Organised by : Ministry of Women and Child Development
*The scheme would cover the adolescent boys in the age group of 11-18 years.
*Objectives : To enable the overall development of youngsters, to make them self-dependant, gender sensitive and aware citizens.
PRAGATI (Scholarship for Civil Students)
*Aim : Providing assistance for advancement of girls participation in technical education
*“Empowering women Through Technical Education”- Implemented by : AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)
*Number of Scholarships per annum : 4000
*Eligibility : One girl/family, where the family income should be less'than Rs. 6 Lakhs/annum
*Amount of scholarship : Tuition fee of Rs. 30000/- and Rs. 2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals each year.
*Organised by : Ministry of Human Resource Development
SAKSHAM (Scholarship for Differently abled students)
*Aim : Providing encouragement and support to differently abled students to persue technical education.
*Implemented by : AICTE
*Number of scholarships per annum: 1000
*Eligibility : For specially abled students whose family income is less than Rs. 6 lakhs per annum
*Organised by : Ministry of Human Resource Development
