*The main objective of the scheme is to enhance secondary education and to improve its quality.
*During five years of implementation of the scheme provides secondary education in a certain distance to all inhabitants in the country.
*Some other aims of the scheme include enhancement of quality education especially for secondary level, removing gender bias, offering universal standard of education by the end of 2017.
*This project is being implemented by various state government societies which are set up for the improvement of the secondary education.
Mid-Day Meal Scheme

*The main objective of the scheme is to provide day lunch to students during working school days.

*“National programme of nutrition support to primary education" was the earlier name of Mid Day Meal Scheme.
*Moreover, this scheme has been greatly adopted by almost every Indian state especially after an important direction given by Supreme Court on 28th November 2001. The scheme became very successful and helps to improve the education system in the country.
*On 1st April 2008, the scheme was implemented all over the country.
*Kerala implemented Mid-Day Meal Scheme in 1984.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Anthyodaya Yojana (DAY)

*Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Anthyodaya yojana was launched on 25th September 2014.
*It aims the development of poor people by providing skill training.
*Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Anthyodaya Yojana has two components. One for urban India and other for rural India.
*The urban component will be implemented by the Union Ministry of Housing & Urban poverty alleviation.
*The rural component is named as - ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana’. It will be implemented by the union ministry of Rural development.
*Minimum age for entry under the yojana is - 15 years.
*The yojana aims at training 10 lakh rural youth by - 2017
