The Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana (IGMSY)

*The Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog (IGMSY) is a government of India’s flagship programme that was introduced under the Ministry of Women and Child development.
*It is a cash transfer scheme conditioned to lactating and pregnant women of age 19 years and above having 2 children.
*The goal is to compensate them partly for the wage loss suffered by them during childcare and childbirth and also provide them good nutrition, feeding practices and safe delivery conditions.
*The implementation of IGMSY carried through Anganwadi centres.
*IGMSY also provides financial assistance to the state governments as grant-in-aids.
Rashtriya Swasthya Rima Yojana(RSBY)

*Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) is accurately a “National Health Insurance Programme”.
*It is basically a health cover plan for the poor in India. It gives cashless cover in case of hospitalization in civic and private hospitals also.
*The RSBY project was under Labour and Employment Ministry but since 1st April 2015 has been tranferred to Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
*Each “below poverty line” (BPL) unit carrying a yellow allowance card pays Rs.30/- registration fee to have a biometric- enabled smart card having their fingerprints & snaps. This allows them to get inpatient fitness care of equal to INR 30,000 per family per year.
*The system works on shared fiscal payments by central & state governments both: seventy five percent of the INR is accepted by the central government and remaining by the government of state.
*The plan has won applause from the World Bank, the UN & the ILO as among the world’s finest health cover plan.
Janashree Bima Yojana (JBY)

*Organised by Ministry of Finance.
*The scheme has replaced Social Security Group Insurance Scheme (SSGIS) and Rural Group Life Insurance Scheme (RGLIS)
Objectives - JBY provides life insurance protection to people who are below poverty line or marginally above poverty line.
Aam Admi Bima Yojana (AABY)

SARVA SHIKSHA ABHIYAN
EDUCATION FOR ALL
*‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ (The teaching for everyone), is the Central Government proposal targeted at the universalization of elementary education.
*SSA was implemented by Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2001.
*This program is aimed to start fresh schools in those regions which do not have schooling amenities & strengthen current school infrastructure by means of extra class rooms, lavatory, drinking water, safeguarding grant & school development funding. Available schools with insufficient teacher force are given with extra teachers, while the faculty of present tutors is being increased through widespread training.
*The 86th amendment 2002 made the elementary education a fundamental right. Added a new Article A which declares that the state shall provide free and compulsory education to of the age of 6 to 14 years.
