ABSTRACT
Service Oriented Architecture Using Web Services (SOAWS) provide a standard means of interoperating between different software applications, running on a variety of platforms or frameworks.
It is a flexible set of design principles used during the phases of system development and integration. Upon deployment, an SOA-based architecture will provide a loosely-integrated suite of services that can be used within multiple business domains.
The SOA promotes the ability to use of Web services from anywhere on the network. SOA is a natural evolution from the world of procedural and object-oriented programming.
A web services-based SOA -- in dramatically speeding up the application development process. As a way to build applications and systems that are more adaptable, and in doing so, an IT becoming more agile in responding to changing business needs.
Many companies are turning to a service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach to use their existing IT assets in new ways. Application functionality is made available as a service, available to all applications that use that particular capability. Business managers know that an SOA is a key technology in business integration, and can help increase agility, improve customer satisfaction, and increase responsiveness.
Finally, SOA/WS potentially improves business process efficiency by reducing cost and particularly time to connect applications.
