A jack is a mechanical device used as a lifting device to lift heavy loads or apply large forces. The most common form is a car cat, floor cat or garage cat lifting vehicles so that maintenance can be performed. The hydraulic jack is the most common form of jacks used for lifting. Several innovations have been made in the hydraulic jack with different electronic devices. With the help of technology priorities are given to safety, luxury and comfort. The hydraulic jack is based on the law of paschal. Cats available in the market are time consuming and also require many efforts which makes Jack use very difficult. As the jack is also required to set in -jack point "which further increases the complications in its application. So the need for auto-plug inbuilt in cars is inescapable. It can be widely used in light weight to medium-weight cars. It can also be used as a maintenance purpose. The project can be made very feasible if considered during the design of the vehicle.
This device the automatic electro-hydraulic jack for light vehicle garages has been developed for after the needs of small and medium automobile garages.
In most garages vehicles are lifted using a screw jack. This requires high human power and expert work.
In order to avoid all these disadvantages, this automatic electrohydraulic jack has been designed in such a way that it can be used to lift the vehicle very smoothly without any impact force. The operation is made simple that even anyone can handle, simply by pressing the button.
FUNCTIONING
The dashboard switch was activated at the time of any fault conditions. The control signal is given to the solenoid valve, when the button is activated. At the same time, the engine that is coupled with the rotary hydraulic pump is started. The oil is sucked from the oil tank and the compressed oil goes to the solenoid valve.
The solenoid valve is activated when the instrument panel button is "ON". The compressed fluid (oil) goes to the hydraulic cylinder. The compressed oil caresses the piston of the hydraulic cylinder and moves forward. The RAM is fixed to the end of the single acting hydraulic cylinder. The piston moves to the ground and the piston raises the vehicle up.
The solenoid valve is deactivated the moment the board button "OFF". The fluid in the hydraulic cylinder (oil) goes to the solenoid valve. The oil then returns to the oil reservoir, when the solenoid valve is deactivated. Therefore, the extra oil is not necessary to maintain the oil level in the oil tank.
ADVANTAGES
- Simple maintenance care is required
- The moving parts of this system are cooled by the oil used.
- Light loaded vehicles can be easily.
- Checking and cleaning are easy, because of the main parts are screwed.
- Handling is easy.
- Manual power is not necessary
- Repairing is easy.
- Replacing parts is easy.
- A maximum height of 1.5 feet can be reached.
- No waste of oil.
DISADVANTAGES
1. The initial cost is high.
2. High maintenance cost.
