General Instructions for the Seminar
All students are informed to attend as many seminar as possible. Attending 20 seminar is compulsory excluding their own. Take photocopy of the Seminar Attendance Sheet. Get the signature from the seminar in-charges for attending each seminar in the given format. Write only Initials of the faculties (not names) in the attendance sheet.
Schedule will be announced on the notice board and also will be mailed.
After Checking the Seminar Schedule, inform the allotted faculties well in advance.
Sample copy of the seminar report will be mailed.
Show the Soft Copy of the Report (Convert the document to pdf) to the Guide and Coordinators within the allotted date before taking final printout.
Make 2 copies of seminar report (1. Student 2.Library) and Printout must be taken on bond sheets (not on ordinary sheets).
Seminar Report must be signed by the coordinator & Guide before Seminar (well in advance).
Must be dressed in formals for Seminar Presentations.
Bring the printout of the Evaluation form.
After Completion of the Seminar, get the report signed by HOD & deposit one Seminar Report
in AEC Lab.
At the end of all seminars, Softcopy must be submitted in CD which includes Seminar Synopsis, PPTs and Complete Seminar Report (1 and 2) to the Seminar Coordinator. The project group must submit one CD. Write Project Guide Name, project group Members Name & USN on CD.
After attending all seminars, submit the attendance sheet to the coordinator at the end along with the CD
The list of faculties with their initials and designation will be mailed.
No Postponement of the Seminars until unless permitted by the Coordinators. In any emergency, if the seminar has to be rescheduled, then check for the students under the same guide & can be swapped with the permission of the Seminar Coordinators and guide.
If the seminar is Repeated or postponed without permission, then marks will be reduced.
Proper action will be taken if any of the deadlines are missed. For any clarification contact
Seminar Coordinators.
Seminar Report Format:
Report should contain 20 to 25 pages.
Spiral Binding: Front -Transparent sheet & Back -Translucent Sheet (only Gray - Not other colours).
Cover Page and Certificate must be taken Colour Printout and rest of the report can be in black and white. If Seminar topic demands Colour printout, then can be taken.

Header: Header should have Seminar topic at left corner & year 2014-15 in the right corner as
shown below.
Footer: Electronics & Communication, DSCE in the left corner and page no. to the right corner
as shown below.
Text Font: Times New Roman, Regular
Alignment: Justified
Line Spacing: 1.5 lines
Chapters, paragraphs should be properly numbered and same must be reflected in contents.
Heading 1 – 16 Size, Bold
Heading 2 – 14 Size ,Bold
Text matter - 12 Size
Presentation:
Prepare appropriate number of PPTs. (If you are playing Videos, shouldn’t exceed 3 minutes).
Must show the PPTs to your Project Guide one week before the Seminar.
Allotted time: 25mins + 05 Mins.(Q&A)
PPT should contain only points, figures, formulae, some useful information and not complete theory (Merely reading PPTs is not entertained).
