EMPLOYEE WELFARE
 Welfare includes anything that is done for the comfort and improvement of employees and is provided over and above the wages
 Employee welfare is a comprehensive term including various services, benefits, facilities offered to employees to employer.
APPLICATION OF EMPLOYEE WELFARE IN “SITARA CHEMICAL INDUSTRY”
INTRODUCTION

 Sitara Chemical Industry provides welfare facilities to their employees to keep their motivation levels high.
 The logic behind providing welfare schemes in Sitara Chemical Industry is to create efficient, healthy, loyal and satisfied labor force for the organization.
 In Sitara Chemical Industry the employee welfare schemes can be classified into two categories
 Non-Statutory Schemes
STATUTORY SCHEMES
The statutory welfare schemes in Sitara Chemical include the following provisions:
 Drinking Water
At all the working places safe hygienic drinking water is provided.
 Facilities for Sitting
Suitable seating arrangements are provide.
 First Aid Appliances
First aid appliances are provides and is readily assessable
 Canteen Facilities
Subsidized food is provided for all employees.
 Lighting
Proper and sufficient lights are provided for employees so that they can work safely during the night shifts.
 Changing Rooms
Adequate changing rooms are provided for in the factory area and office premises.
 Rest Rooms
Adequate numbers of restrooms are provided to the workers so that they can take rest during work
NON-STATUTORY SCHEMES
 Insurance Scheme:
The group insurance scheme provides in Sitara Chemical Industry in case of employee injury, death or disability the Sitara Chemical support the employee family and for this the minimum amount they spend is
“2 lacks”
 Employee Assistance Programs
Assistant programs are arranged in Sitara Chemical industry like “Internal Counseling”
 Health Care/health Service
In Sitara Chemical in-house dispensary is available for all workers
 Safety Services:
In Sitara Chemical Industry they provide safety measure to all workers at workplace e.g.

 Goggles
 Gloves
 Fire-proof suits
 Protective Equipment
 Vacation & Leave
 Provident Fund
Equal monthly contribution are made by the company and the employees at the rate from 6.5% to 8.33 % of basic salary depending upon the length of service of an employee.
