Introduction:
To increase convenience of passenger of train we are providing this project, it will avoid the confusion station name, more new persons are coming by train every day to identify the station name our project is efficient.
Most of the passengers do not bother about the stations arriving until their destination station arrives. There may also be chances like they miss their destination and has to get down at some other station and go back to reach their destination. To get rid of this kind of problems, we have designed a project Automatic Station Indication System.
Apart from indicating the upcoming station the distance of the next station from the present position is also calculated and displayed on the LCD. In this we are taking the longitude and latitude values of all the stations initially and calculate the distance with the longitude and latitude of the present position of the train which can be received from the GPS unit
Our project “GPS based station name announcement and display” has two modules, one for one for transmitter and another receiver transmitter will transmit the area information that area information will be binary form that binary form will be transmitted by wirelessly.
In receiver one GPS receiver and microcontroller will be there data of binary information of area and name will be maintained in memory if match with received binary and stored data the corresponding area name will be displayed in LCD microcontroller is programmed for LCD display and announcement.
