Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides enhanced protection, as users are asked to provide something they know about and something they have. This method provides a higher level of authentication guarantee, which is essential for the safety of online banking. Many banking systems have fulfilled the requirements of 2FA by sending a single time password (OTP), something owned, via an SMS to the user's phone device.
